Using input gathered over the past several months, the City has released an updated draft of the Historic Preservation Plan, which expands on goals and objectives in the Comprehensive Plan and will be the guiding document for the City's preservation program. The updated Design Standards for Historic Properties are intended to "guide rehabilitation, alteration, expansion, and new construction projects involving individually designated local historic landmarks and properties in designated local historic districts."
The updated plan and design standards are now available for public review and comment and will be discussed at an upcoming Landmark Commission public workshop and hearing on March 19, 2012 and a Planning Commission public hearing on March 20, 2012.
